Galileus Galileo (1564-1642) was a mathematician who became famous for the discoveries he made after perfecting the genus Lens system and creating his own telescope. He saw spots on the sun. These observations proposed that Earth was not at the center of the universe, as was once thought, further disproving the perfect flick of the biblical world.
